Memorial Weekend

We had an awesome weekend camping out to Yost. It was the annual Oman campout. The weather was great despite a little rain. I cussed Todd when he just had to have a Rhino, but I have to admit I really like it. It is nice to be able to fit the whole family in it to go on rides instead of having to take turns staying at camp to tend the kids. The men loved playing in the mud and snow with their toys. I have a feeling we will be making several more trips out there this summer. Whit, Kort, and Wyatt each caught a fish. They were pretty excited! It was a great weekend and we are glad it's almost summer so we can do more of what we love to do.

Valentines Day 2009

We had a fun Valentines' Day. We decided to go have dinner at Tepanyaki. The kids absolutely loved it. Whitnie took her video camera and taped the whole thing. Wyatt love watching the guy throw an egg into his hat. Kortnie was nervous when the chef squirted her with pretend soy sauce. It sure scared me but it was so funny! We ended the day by going to Cabelas. Everyone had a blast. I love all my 5 Valentines so much. Hope everyone had a good Valentines Day!

I Love This Baby Girl

Earrings and Frills and Ponytails, that’s what our little Oaklie is made of. Oaklie looked so cute in her fluffy red dress on Sunday. It was Whitnie’s from Ambers wedding. Everyone at church thought she was a cute little Valentine. Her hair is now long enough for a ponytail. I hesitated putting one in because that means she is getting to be a big girl and that makes me sad, but it was getting so long and out of control. I do love ponytails. Now hopefully no one will turn me in to children services, but Mom and Jeannie pierced Oaklie’s ears for me. She was so good and only cried for one minute and they look so cute. Some of the pictures are of Oaklie with her little squishy nose look that she loves to give us. How Precious! I LOVE this little girl!

Wyatt has been talking about airplanes and helicopters a lot lately so when we saw that the new hospital was going to have the Life Flight Helicopter at the open house I decided to take the kids. Well, it was a terrible day. First off, I backed up over my cute brown and pink stroller that goes with Oaklies car seat and totally mangled it. I considered pulling right back down our driveway and staying home but they wanted to see the helicopter so bad so we went. We could see the helicopter from the parking lot and we headed in and by the time we got back to see it, it had headed back to Salt Lake. So it ended up being one crappy day. We did take the kids back to the hospital the next day. They love seeing the helicopter despite the freezing cold wind. They even let them sit in it. Hopefully that will be the only time any of us sit in Life Flight!

01/02/03 Kortnie is 6 years old

Kortnie was excited for her birthday to come. She had been counting down the days since before Christmas. She turned 6 on Jan. 2nd. We had a Kortnie –Utes party on that day with both sides of the family. We had fun eating soup, cake and ice cream and listening to Todd, Chris and Nikki SCREAMING for the Utes. I am sure they could here them in Plymouth. The next day we took Kortnie, cousin Baxter and friend Taylor for a birthday celebration at Chuck E Cheese. It was crazy there but the kids had lots of fun. We love our Kortnie so much and are so happy she is in our family. Kortnie is the best little helper with her baby sister. She loves to help with the dishes and to organize the drawers and cupboards. Kortnie loves to ride horses and is very good at gymnastics. She is also becoming very smart and is learning to read very well. Happy Birthday Kortie

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas here at the Burton Home. First was an early Christmas present for the kids. Two weeks before we got a new addition to our family. Her name is Hershie. She is a Miniature Schnauzer. We had a fun Christmas Eve at Grandma Sherrie’s and Santa did find us and left way too much. We love the Christmas season and we are sad that it is over. We missed you Richards family but look forward to having Christmas with you next year.
